Interest Rates are too high?

I find it interesting that there is what feels like to me a mass panic about interest rates in mortgages. When I first bought my house in 2009 I was happy that my interest rate was below 6% just at 5.95% I remember thinking WOW! What a great rate! I find it interesting that that is looked at as a horrible rate now. However, with inflated housing prices I guess I can see the sticker shock with monthly payments. That doesn't mean that the actual interest rates are outrageous though. Given that market is not showing any real signs of dramatically dropping right now but that's not to say it has not "dipped" at all because I believe that it has. There are has been interesting "catch phrase" that has been getting thrown around right now "Date the Rate and Marry the House". While I do believe that if you find a house and fall in love with it you should go after it and not focus on the interest rate and refinance it to a lower rate later if they do drop again. That is a really big IF, though. What is the best option is hiring a professional realtor to go negotiate your contract for you. Did you know that your realtor can negotiate that interest rate down for you with seller concessions? Or did you know that they literally study the market and can try and get the purchase rice reduced on top of those concessions. It is best to not wait around for those "crazy interest rates" to get "better" or the housing market to "lower". This is not a seller's market anymore you have the power to negotiate, so if you have been thinking about buying or you have waiting for a "better" rate or market. DON'T Wait! Hire a trusted realtor and find out what your actual options are, start the process and get your biggest investment started now. Feel free to contact me with any questions that you might have!
